Workshop on “Stoking Imagination in Classroom teaching” for M.Sc Child Development students


A workshop on Stoking imagination in classroom teaching was organised by the Department of Home Science and Centre for Research for the Child Development Post graduate students on 3rd September 2019.The objective of the workshop was to provide hands on experiential teaching experiences for the students to incorporate in their teaching internship in schools. The need for  Experiential Learning, Participatory Learning, Activity Based Learning, Group and Individual Learning and Involvement and Skill-based learning in classrooms were emphasised in the workshop. Importance of movement in classrooms and use of innovative teaching aids, creation of story boards for concept transaction for experiential teaching and Preparation of story board and enacting the story concept with the available resources were also dealt with.
