Need of the activity: To ensure the inclusion of all eligible voters in the Electoral Roll and that no ineligible voter is included in the electoral roll. The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) activity undertaken by the Election Commission of India to ensure accurate and updated electoral rolls. Many citizens change their residence, attain voting age, or have incorrect details in voter records, which can lead to errors, duplication, or exclusion of eligible voters. This activity helps in identifying and correcting such discrepancies through door-to-door verification and public interaction. It helps to exclude ineligible voters from the electoral roll.
The role of the volunteers were to work with BLOs to upload or digitalise the collected enumeration forms in the ECI portal.
