The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres (IEDC) are platforms set up in Engineering, Management, Arts & Science Colleges, Medical Institutions, Polytechnics and Universities with an aim to provide students with an opportunity to experiment and innovate. Kerala Startup Mission has set up IEDCs in 341 institutions across the State which provide avenues for creative students to learn, collaborate and transform their innovative ideas into prototypes of viable products and services. IEDCs works as the first launch pad for a student’s entrepreneurial journey and provide them with access to cutting edge technology, world-class infrastructure, high-quality mentorship, early risk capital and global exposure.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) is a flagship initiative of Kerala Startup Mission to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among the student and academic fraternity in the educational institutions in the State of Kerala and considered as an umbrella programme that would play an instrumental role in fostering innovation culture in Academic institutions.

Teresian Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres (IEDC)

With an aim to innovate, integrate and empower, Teresian IEDC is actively working from its inception in 2018. The activities undertaken by the Centre in the form of conventions, summits, iTalks, hackathons and bootcamps were numerous. The IEDC, Institution Innovation Council (IIC), and Teresian Innovation and Business Incubation Centre (TIBIC) held enormous events under various pillars – Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship. The Idea challenge encouraged the students to come up with solutions for everyday problems. The business ventures of our student entrepreneurs were encouraged and promoted. IEDC Summit and Innovator’s Premier League promote the networking of entrepreneurs and industrialists.


To develop a business network with required infrastructure that can enable stakeholders to innovate and prototype their potential ideas catering to industrial standards with support from the Government, industry and reputed academic institutions around the world thereby helping them to set up new benchmarks in the world of business.


To be a self-sustained business incubator nurturing and empowering aspiring women entrepreneurs with innovative ideas of social relevance, encouraging a culture of entrepreneurship to promote national, economic and social growth of the Nation.
