FPP

The Foundation Preparation Pathway Programme (FPP) offered by UP Education is designed to fast-track ambitious international students to an Accelerated Foundation Programme in New Zealand. While the foundation programme offered by UP Education in New Zealand is usually completed over 18 months, high performers on the off-shore FPP programme are entitled to complete the foundation programme in accelerated mode (6 months), thus making entry into the university both quicker and easier while giving them a head start compared to direct entry candidates.

The 8 week FPP programme will be hosted in Kerala and Karnataka by St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam

How The FPP programme works (For year 10,11&12)

On successful completion of online assessments, high scorers in the 8 week FPP programme are expected to fast track to the foundation course in New Zealand. To gear them up for the foundation programme, preparatory programme students are tested on academic and English proficiency on completion of 8 weeks of instructional training. They are trained in English for IELTS, Tertiary Study Skills (essay writing, report writing, presentation skills etc) and academic electives (Mathematics, Science, Business, Ancient History) before they are tested on the same.

Course Distribution in the 8 week FPP Programme

At the end of the programme, the student will be assessed on a two-hour online exam for each subject. In order to graduate from the FPP, a student must have qualified IELTS (6.0 with no bands below 5.5) and achieved at least 50% marks in each of the three academic subjects and Tertiary Study Skills. Upon graduation from the FPP, the student will transition to the Foundation Programme in New Zealand, with a conditional offer letter from the University of choice, on successful completion of which, to undergraduate studies in the listed Universities.

Who can apply?

Interested students should hold evidence of meeting the current academic entry requirements such as Student should be aged 16 or older Successfully completed year 10 in India with 80% Completed the equivalence of IGCSE with 2 x B and 2 x C passes Have English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.0 STC will register the interested student to the FPP programme only after the student attends interview and counseling session.

Fee Structure

Registration Fee: USD$ 500
Course Fee: INR 1.5 Lakhs for 8 weeks (Year 10,11&12)
Exam Fee: USD$ 500 (subject to approval, a student may resit 1 or 2 exams)
