“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” -Hippocrates, (The Father of Medicine)

Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) kill 41 million people each year, equivalent to 71% of all deaths globally.According to WHO projections the total annual number of deaths from NCDs will increase to 55 million by 2030, if timely interventions are not done for prevention and control of NCDs.
The prevalence of the same is increasing at an alarming rate because of the modifiable risk factors related to lifestyle in teenagers.Unhealthy eating habits is a major contributor to increasing NCDs in young population.
In view of this great concern, the need to spread qualitative awareness among students to promote healthy lifestyle is envisaged through a *Student Health Promotion Campaign* by NetProFan Kochi Chapter-Network of Professionals in Food and Nutrition.
NetProFan aims to involve students and  encourage them to be advocates of Healthy Lifestyle through creative campaigns and activities.
