The Deeksharambh 2026 – PG Students’ Induction Programme marked the formal commencement of the postgraduate academic journey at St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. The programme was organized to warmly welcome the newly admitted students and introduce them to the institution’s vision, values, and academic culture.
The programme began at 9:00 a.m. with the College Anthem followed by a Prayer Song creating a solemn and inspiring atmosphere. Dr. Anu Joseph, Principal, delivered the Welcome Address, extending a warm greeting to the students and encouraging them to make the most of the opportunities offered by the institution. The Directors, Rev. Sr. Teresa CSST (Director, Arts Block) and Rev. Sr. Francis Ann CSST (Director, Anugraha Campus) addressed the gathering, highlighting the values and traditions of the college. The ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp symbolized the beginning of a new phase of learning and enlightenment. A video presentation on the Teresian Legacy introduced the students to the rich history, achievements, and ethos of the institution. The inaugural session concluded with an Orientation for Students by Dr. Beena Job, Associate Professor (Retd.) and Former Head, Department of English and Centre for Research, St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam.

The orientation session by Dr. Beena Job offered an inspiring and thought-provoking introduction to the spiritual values that form the foundation of life at St. Teresa’s College.
