On September 2nd, as part of the Skill enhancement programs of the dept, a session on ‘ Decision making using the 6 Thinking Hats’ was conducted by Mr. Joseph Premal Austin in the department of Management Studies. Mr. Joseph is a marketing and PR professional who has more than 14 years of Experience in various demanding leadership roles in the domains of public Relations, advertising and image management.
The main discussion of the session was on the concept ‘The Six Thinking Hats’, which talked about how a person can take decisions using these six hats which represent different characteristics. The speaker kept the session lively by presenting several scenarios of lateral thinking for the students to ponder over. The session ended with a caselet discussion and sharing of perspectives by student groups.
Overall it was a very interesting and informative session for the students and they definitely had a lot of fun partaking in the activities Mr. Joseph had given them.
