National Energy Conservation Award 2019

National Energy Conservation Awards 2019 and Prizes are presented to the industry and other institutions by the Ministry of Power and Energy each year to winners of the annual Painting Competition for Energy Conservation with a view to promoting energy conservation in all sectors of the economy.

Higher Energy Efficiency Leads To Higher Growth

In 1991, the Ministry of Power, Government of India launched a scheme to award national recognition through awards to industries and institutions that have made a special effort to reduce consumption while maintaining production.  The awards were first announced on December 14, 1991, which was declared National Energy Conservation Day.  The awards, which are held every year on 14th December, are given to the most distinguished dignitaries in the Government of India.

In line with previous years, the Ministry of Power and Govt. India has decided to organize the  Award to recognize the efforts of various industrial units/organizations/organizations which have achieved sustainable and efficient use of energy.
