In connection with the World Food Day celebrations, the Department of B.Voc Food Processing Technology organized a food fest on 15th October 2019 in the Arts Block at 11 am. The food fest included street foods, traditional foods of Kerala and bakery products.

The programme was inaugurated by Shri. K S Srinivas IAS, Chairman, Marine Product Export Development Authority, Kochi. World Food Day aims at achieving Zero Hunger and calls for action across sectors to make healthy and sustainable diets affordable and accessible to everyone. A combination of unhealthy diets and sedentary lifestyle has lead to an increase in the obesity rates. The speaker stressed on the healthy and nutritious diet to lead an active life and reduce the risk of diseases.

The second edition of the Department news letter “EZZENZA” was also released by the Chief Guest.
