The Department of Psychology, St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous) organized a webinar on Color Psychology and Branding on 17th October 2022. Dr. Gemini V. Joy, Associate Professor & Head of the Technology Management Department, Vellore Institute of Management, Vellore led the session organized on the Google Meet platform. Dr. Gemini V Joy received her Ph.D. in Management Science from Anna University, Chennai, India, and holds more than 20 years of teaching and research experience. Dr. Gemini is also an ardent researcher in the areas of branding, cyber-psychology, and consumer behavior.
Dr. Gemini V Joy spoke about the field of Color Psychology and how color psychology is employed for branding and marketing products by leading corporate companies. The different ways in which color affects an individual’s mood, emotions, and judgments were also given. Elaborate and interesting research insights into how famous brands use Color Psychology to brand their products and increase their customer base were also shared.
The program was attended by the B.Sc and M.Sc Psychology students of the department along with faculty members.
