The “You Matter” Counseling and Wellness Center of the Department of Psychology in collaboration with Sasneham – Teresian Saanthwana Pariraksha of the College Counseling Cell conducted a program for all the final year UG students of the college on the topic ” Study Smart and Face Examinations with Confidence” on 3rd June 2021 from 10..00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. The objective of the program was to address the fears and concerns of the final year students who were feeling stressed due to the ongoing pandemic, lockdown and also anxious about their pending examinations. More than 600 students participated in the webinar held on webex platform.
Dr Thara Sebastian, Retd HoD of the Home Science Department of St. Teresa’s College and a motivational speaker & Trainer led the session. Dr Thara Sebastian imparted valuable insights to students on how to face challenging situations amidst the pandemic, cultivating hobbies and journaling to reduce stress and for time management as well as gave the student tips and techniques to recall information and to understand different learning styles. Dr Leena Leon, Home Science Department, Associate Professor Sujatha R E and Ms. Bindu John, HoD of Psychology department coordinated the program. Assistant Professor Kavya Kollody, Vishnupriya V and Krishnendu A from the Department of Psychology hosted the program which saw the attendance of more than 600 students from the final year of St. Teresa’s College.
