The Department of Home Science, St Teresa’s College planned a series of activities to commemorate Breast Feeding Week this year. The activities were conducted in line with the theme for the year – “BREAST FEEDING: FOUNDATION OF LIFE”. The events planned were to enhance awareness among adolescents regarding breast feeding and its advantages. On the 2ndof August, 2018 the following activities were planned to in the college campus by post graduate students of Food Science and Nutrition. The event was partnered by ICDS, Kochi Urban 2. The CDPO-Smt. Khadeejamma P K, Programme officer- DR. Brinda Nelson and Anganwadi teachers from different Anganwadis were present for theprogramme.

FLASH MOB: . The flash mob was conducted by a group of girls with attractive props and music in synchrony with the theme of breast feeding to seek attention of the college students to the event.

SKIT– A skit was enacted by post graduate students in Food Science and Nutrition with the primary objective of imparting a message regarding the benefits of breast feeding.

QUIZ COMPETITION: An on the spot quiz competition based on the exhibition and the other programs that were conducted on the day was planned by the ICDS Programme Officer DR. Brinda Nelson
