Project-Conception to Completion Report

 

To establish a stronger foundation the college never fails to hold themselves back. The department of Home Science, St Teresa’s College Ernakulam organized a session in collaboration with DBT Star College on the topic Project-Conception to Completion for the Under Graduate students in Home Science. The resource person for the session was Miss Maria Shaji. She has acquired her Master’s degree in Child Development from the Department of Home Science, St Teresa’s College Ernakulam. After the completion of her Post Graduation she was employed as a Faculty in BCM College, Kottayam. She was awarded the UGC Research Fellowship and registered for her PhD under the guidance of Dr. Betty Rani Isaac, Associate professor, Department of Home Science, St Teresa’s College Ernakulam.

This session envisaged to assist the students with regard to their projects. It was attended faculty members, the final year students and the post graduate students of the Department. The welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Rose Catherin .The major topics covered during the session were stages of research designs, ethical concerns related to survey, procedures to conduct an effective study, tools used to gather information and much more. It was a very comprehensive presentation with deliberations on strategies to cope with data collection during the pandemic too. After the session the resource person patiently cleared all the doubts and queries. The Vote of Thanks   was proposed by Ms. Tresa Vincent.
