An exclusive Power Talk was organized by the Department of Management Studies on the topic ‘Building a Career in Business Analytics’ scheduled on 9th October 2021 at 10.00 am on google meet platform for the students of PGDM- Business Analytics. The session was taken by Mr. Gopakumar P, Project lead, Marlabs. The session started with a silent prayer and Praseetha M S, Assistant Professor of the department welcomed all the participants to the session and gave a brief introduction about the speaker. 

Mr. Gopakumar firstly explained his journey how he build his career as a business analyst It serves as a guide for students in making decisions on taking the appropriate path for their given skills and knowledge. Continued by an interactive session where students get an opportunity to clarify doubts regarding the job roles, scope, latest trends, important software tools, internships, job openings, and additional certification courses to build a career in the analytics field. He also gave an insight on what type of skills that the companies are looking for from a fresher, which are the companies an analytics student should focus on, the importance of internships, etc.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Sangeetha K A, a student of PGDM- Business Analytics batch 2020-22.
