In connection with the International Yoga Day celebration, the department conducted a one month yoga training session. Jyothika V Nair, a certified yoga trainer from SRC Yoga Community and third year student of the department handled the sessions. The inauguration of the training programme was held on 21st June, 2021. During the session she explained about the importance of yoga for physical and mental health. The training was conducted in two sessions. The sessions on weekdays were focused on breathing exercises and meditation. On Saturdays and Sundays the basic asanas were taught.
The students are encouraged to practice yoga and to do meditation which will help them to remain healthy both physically and mentally.
