The department of B.Voc Food Processing Technology of St. Teresa’s College has conducted Onam celebration traditionally but virtually for the first time. The theme of the Onam celebration was “VEETTILRUNNONAM” which was related to the current pandemic situation. The program was held on 7 th September 2020 at 11.30 am on Google Meet platform. The program was coordinated jointly by second and third years of the department. Around 66 participants attended the celebration including students and faculty members. The program was started with the prayer song followed by the welcome speech delivered by Mrs. Bhavya E.P (HOD). After that so many cultural events like Onapaattu, group song and group dance along with video presentation were staged in a good manner. Faculty members shared their Onam memories with students and the games which were played digitally were so interesting. At 1.00 pm, the program came to an end by vote of thanks delivered by Abhinandita.S. The Onam celebration of the academic year 2020-21 was really a memorable and unique experience to all the participants.
