The Department of Commerce (self-financing) hosted a webinar on the topic, “Emerging
Careers Post Covid” on 13th August 2021. The session was scheduled at 11 am on
Zoom platform.

Dr. Geetha Sharma, Associate Dean-Dy Placement Coordinator, ICFAI Business School, Banglore was the speaker. The welcome address was given by Louis Juvi CK.

The speaker explained the emerging career post covid by explaining the effect of the two
waves of covid-19 in the industry. The covid 19 brought us to a new world of technology,
where we require different technologies to function, like conducting the webinar. Covid 19
situations can be taken advantage of, because starting work from home reduces the expense
incurred by the company. The operating of each and every organisation changed because of
technology. The second wave was destructive but it’s wasn’t negative the industry like the first
wave did, the challenges were narrowed down by the use of technology
