The JAM training sessions aim to prepare students for different competitive exams by solving model questions and previous year question papers of Mathematics. The two week long problem solving sessions organised by Mathematics Association 2020-21 was inaugurated by Dr Susan Mathew Panakkal on 7th January 2021. The sessions were handled by Mrs. Minnumol Pratheesh who is a postgraduate in Mathematics and NET qualifier, and an alumna of the department. The one-hour sessions were arranged in Google meet platform from 3:00 -4:00 p.m on 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 28, 29 of January and 3,4,10 & 11 of February. Many final year students who were preparing for JAM and other entrance examinations regularly attended the problem-solving sessions.

 

Outcome of the activity:

By solving the previous years’ question papers in detail, students were able to get a better idea about the examination pattern. They could easily clear their doubts with the resource person and could build confidence to perform well in the upcoming competitive examinations.
