Importance of Yoga session is a powerful practice that enhances both physical and mental well-being, offering numerous benefits such as improved flexibility, strength, and stress relief.The Department organized importance of yoga session for students to promote physical and mental well-being. The session aimed to provide students with an opportunity to learn and practice yoga, which is known for its numerous health benefits, including stress reduction, improved concentration, and increased flexibility. First year UG students had two hour yoga session by a young talented resource person Ayisha Almas P A, she done her graduation in St.Teresa’s College itself and now work as a trainer for yoga team for the college. Students brought yoga mats for the session. With grace and conviction, she illuminated the transformative power of yoga, revealing how this ancient practice can harmonize body, mind, and spirit, and unlock a path to inner peace, balance, and radiant well-being.
Students often report enhanced mental clarity and reduced stress levels, which can improve their academic performance. Regular practice of yoga can also promote physical well-being by increasing flexibility and strength. Additionally, it fosters a sense of community and connection among participants, creating a supportive and harmonious campus environment. Overall, incorporating yoga into the college routine contributes to the holistic development of students, balancing both their mind and body.

The yoga session was a successful initiative by the department to promote a healthy lifestyle among students. Moving forward, the department plans to organize more such wellness activities to support the holistic development of students.
