To introduce the world of Botany to the I UG students of the department, a talk was arranged on 12-11-2018 on the topic Glimpses into the Diversity of Lower Plants by Dr. E.G. Wesely, Associate Professor in Botany, Govt. Arts College, Sanyasikaradu P.O., Namakkal, Tamil Nadu. The main objectives of the programme were to familiarize the students on Plant diversity, classification of plant system and the need for conservation of biodiversity. The talk was attended by 41 students of the I UG class (I Semester) and was very informative to both the students and faculty in charge of the curriculum.
