Communication and its barrier are crucial issue faced by managers. The CHIL hour activity
focused on this issue and the student groups were made to stand in a line facing the others back
to signify physical barriers. The participant at one would be designated with a string of words
which were to be communicated to the next in line only through actions and barred from using
verbal communication. The last participant at the end of the line had to decipher the actions and
share with the rest of the audience on her understanding. This brought out the barriers faced,
communication gaps and creative problem solving as resultant learnings.
