SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN & JAL SHAKTII ABHIYAAN
The webinar was conducted on 2nd July, 2020 to create an awareness session on Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan & Jal Shaktii Abhiyaan for UBA volunteers to be implemented in Kunnukara panchayat. Around 30 students from department of Chemistry participated in this program. The participant will be able to bring about an improvement in the general quality of life in the rural areas by promoting cleanliness, hygiene and eliminate open defecation. Also encourage cost effective and appropriate technologies for ecologically safe and sustainable sanitation.

On the first week of October the students of chemistry department participated in swachhtha mission. Due to the pandemic issues they have cleaned their house and surroundings on 2nd October, 2020 Gandhi Jayanthi day.
ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAMME IN MASK AND SANITIZER MAKING FOR KUDUMBASHREE MEMBERS
Webinar for online training on mask making and sanitizer making class to prevent COVID -19 was conducted on 15th November, 2020 for kudumbashree members of Kunnukara panchayat. About 50 kudumbashree members actively participated in the training session. Second year UG students from chemistry department also participated in the programme. Training could create awareness about communicable diseases, need for improved community empowerment among the residence of Panchayat.
HOMEMADE SOAP MAKING TRAINING
Hands on training class live for home-made soap making was conducted at Kunnukara panchayat on 19th March, 2021. Miss Lakshmi Sreenath, owner & founder of the Herbal Sutras LLP, Kochi was the resource person. Nearly 100 of kudumbasree members participated for the class. Live session included toilet soap, washing soap, liquid soap and detergent making. This training session helped to raise the status of women in supplementing household income and to achieve women empowerment.
E- Library and E-Books
As the part of TROP activity, students of second year Chemistry, 2019-2022 batch collected various e-books and urls for creating an e- library for college library. We mainly focussed on Malayalam books that include kid’s stories, dramas, novels and short stories. They are available as PDF or can be directly read from the websites. The second year students
also collected materials for PSC or competitive exam preparation. It includes YouTube channels, apps, e-books and websites for the preparation.
