The Alumnae meet of the Department of French for the year 2019-2020 was organised by the students of the Department of French on 8^th February 2020, at 3:30 pm. The students from various batches attended the meet. The event was made colourful with various programs and activities organized by the students. The day started off with a dance performance which was followed by a heart-warming presentation with the photos of the alumnae during their days in the college. The alumnae enthusiastically participated in the fun games organised by the students. They spoke about their cherished memories of the days with the Department and also about their experiences here that moulded them for their future endeavours. They also provided guidance to the current students. Venessa Maria Fernandez, an alumna of the Department who is currently studying in Australia, notably mentioned the differences in the educational system of Australia and of India. She also indicated the wide array of career prospects open for the French learners. The alumnae who could not attend the function in person joined through short videos which were presented during the meeting. As the day progressed, every alumna signed on the blackboard of the room cherishing their indelible bond with the Department. Refreshments were served and the day came to a close at around six pm. It was a day of memorable exchanges which revolved a sense of nostalgia in the alumnae and a sense of joy to the rest.
