On the 13th of July, 2024, the NSS Unit 41 of St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, in collaboration with the K. Chittilappilly Foundation, proudly implemented the key handing-over ceremony for the third house built for a deserving family as part of the Project Snehaveedu. This heart-warming event took place in Alangad, Paravur, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing mission to provide shelter and hope to those in need.The housewarming ceremony began with a poignant key handover to the grateful family, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. This was followed by the traditional milk boiling ceremony at 10:30 AM, a ritual that signifies prosperity and well-being in their new home.The official programme commenced with the NSS anthem, performed by our dedicated NSS volunteers, setting a tone of unity and commitment. Dr. Shilpa Jose, the NSS Programme Officer, delivered a warm welcome speech, highlighting the collective efforts that made this achievement possible. Dr. Sr. Vinitha CSST, the Provincial Superior and Manager of St. Teresa’s College, then addressed the gathering, offering words of encouragement and gratitude.Dr.Susamma AP, the Project Coordinator of the K. Chittilappilly Foundation, provided an insightful explanation of the Snehaveedu Project, underscoring its significance and the positive impact it has had on the community. Her words resonated deeply with the attendees, illuminating the vision and dedication behind the initiative.Following this, Arya Prasannan, an executive of the K. Chittilappilly Foundation, and Sri. K.R. Biju, the ward member of Alangad Panchayat (10th ward), offered their felicitations.The official programme concluded by 11:45 AM with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Miss Elizabeth Abraham, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event and the project as a whole. The gathering then enjoyed a communal lunch, fostering a sense of community and celebration
