B.VOC Software Development 2nd year students from the Department of Computer Applications organized a special event called “Youth Skill Day” on August 1st, 2023, World Youth Skills Day is celebrated on July 15 every year to emphasize the need for imparting the right skills to youth for employment and entrepreneurship. With changes in the job market and constant technological progress, it is essential to equip young people with adaptable skill sets. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sangeeta Unnikrishnan for gracing us with her valuable insights and for giving us an introduction to IoT, its benefits and challenges as well as its future. Her profound knowledge and eloquence have inspired us all and left a lasting impression on our minds .The centerpiece of the event was a remarkable performance titled “Transforming youth skills for the future” where the entire 2nd-year B.VOC Software Development student cohort participated in a mesmerizing combination of dance and with giving hope that you do not ever compare your skills with anybody else’s because all kinds of skills are useful in this world.
