District Food Safety Department in association with St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam commemorated World Food Safety Day on June 7th with a 2 km walkathon. Food Safety Officers Kripa Joseph, Cynthia Raphael, Emi Mol and the students from the  Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Department of Home Science and Department of Food Processing and Technology actively participated in walkathon starting  from Marine Drive, Ernakulam to St. Teresa’s College main block at 7.30 AM . The theme of World Food Safety Day 2022 is “Safer Food Better Health”.The Walkathon was flagged off by Mr. Anantkrishnan Regional Transport Officer, Ernakulam. Eat Right Kochi Booklet “Safer Food Better Health” was released by Dr Lizzy Mathew, Principal, St Teresas College. The faculty of the department had contributed an article to the booklet that was released.
