The Rotaract Club of St. Teresa’s College, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Cochin Milan, the Department of Management Studies, and the Department of Cyber Security and Applied Computing, organized a “Workshop on Indian System of Health and Wellness”.

The session, held on [insert date], featured Dr. Pallatheri Nambi Namboodiri, MD (Ayurveda), as the resource person. Dr. Namboodiri is the Director of Nagarjuna Ayurveda, Kerala, and is widely recognized for his expertise in treating chronic illnesses, skin disorders, and children’s health. He is also known for his educational series, “World as Doshas”.

The workshop commenced at 11:30 AM, with Dr. Namboodiri giving a comprehensive introduction to health, Ayurveda, and various terms associated with Ayurvedic practices. He engaged the participants through thought-provoking, interactive discussions on the activities that contribute to health and well-being. As the session progressed, the students became more involved, actively raising questions and expressing concerns, which made the class both enlightening and engaging. Dr. Namboodiri went on to elaborate on the three essential needs for living beings: food & water, sleep, and exercise, emphasizing their significance for overall health.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Liyan Abraham, marking the end of a highly informative and interactive workshop.

By the end, participants felt empowered to adopt healthier habits, with many expressing interest in further exploring these ancient practices for long-term wellness.
