BCA (CT&ISM) under the Department of Computer Applications in St Teresa’s college, organized a workshop on Cloud Computing on the 29th of October, 2021 at 9 am. The program with a total strength of 104 participants was led by the MC Ashwitha Sajeev of 1st year BCA (CT & ISM). The workshop began with a prayer song by Maria Soby and Anumol Augustine of 2nd year BCA (CT & ISM) after which Leah Cicil Avin of 3rd year BCA (CT & ISM) welcomed the gathering via Google Meet.

The session followed by the session led by our guest speaker for the day, Mrs. Christina Rajan Thomas, who is a technical consultant and Trainer – Linux Administration and Cloud administration at IPSR Solutions Ltd. Mrs. Christina Rajan Thomas is an M.tech holder in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Cyber Forensics and Information Security. The session was quite interesting and fruitful.

In the cloud computing workshop, the speaker being versatile could deliver all her ideas and she even gave extra tips and hands-on practical examples throughout the session. She elaborated on various topics in Cloud computing with such an elegance that it kindled the curiosity in the listeners. The workshop was followed by an interactive query session. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks from Pavi Rose of 2nd year BCA (CT & ISM). A Google form was also shared at the end of the workshop to collect feedback from the attendees.

What is cloud computing?

Cloud computing is the availability of computer resources, including data storage and computing power that does not need to be managed by the user. The Cloud Computing Workshop will make members proficient at different distributed computing structures. Live tasks will assist members with staying aware of all innovations, instruments, and procedures needed to comprehend and chip away at distributed computing standards utilized in the IT business.
