In connection with International Women’s Day 2021 , a webinar on the same was organized by Government Of India Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Press Information Bureau, Kochi and Field Outreach Bureau, Ernakulum in coordination with Department of Zoology , St Teresa’s College, Ernakulum on 8th March 2021 from 2:30 pm to  3:45pm . The webinar was attended by more than 100 participants .The gathering was welcomed  by Shrimati  Rashmi Roja Thushara Nair, IIS Joint director, Press Information Bureau government of India, Kochi  who took privilege to introduce the theme for international women’s day 2021 – ‘choose to change’. The chief guest of the day was Shrimati Nalini Netto, former Chief secretary and former Chief Electoral Officer Kerala , who took instances from her own personal life and career to share the importance of expressing own thoughts and believing in our conscience , she also expressed her gratitude towards all great women in her life. The talk was followed by an interactive section , where students raised their doubt about equal career opportunity, women’s right and safety in society, which was answered by the chief guest with much enthusiasm and patience. Shri. V Palanichami, IIS additional director general regional outreach Bureau, government of India Kerala Lakshadweep , delivered the key note address. The webinar ended with a warm felicitation from Dr.Lizzy Mathew , principal of  St Teresa’s College Ernakulum , who also conveyed her message as part of  International Women’s day 2021  ‘ to love and respect all mothers and also all great women who has contributed for the nation’. Sri. L . C Ponnumon, field exhibition officer , field outreach Bureau, government of India, Ernakulum,  concluded the webinar with vote of thanks.
