The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of the Department of Psychology conducted a webinar on People Management – The Present and the Future: (Case Study from the Middle East) for the Post Graduate and Under Graduate students of the Psychology Department, St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, on February 22nd, 2023.
The resource person for the program was Dr. John Mathew. He is a certified Occupational Psychologist and a Gallup-certified Talent Coach with over 17 years of experience in Talent Management. Dr. John Mathew heads Talent Management for Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo B.S.C.(c) which is one of the most progressive organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The session covered topics on effective communication, motivating the workforce to achieve organizational goals, performance management, and, the benefits of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The case study of Toyota was used to enhance the learning and understanding of the concept of people management.
The participants were attentive and interacted well. The awareness session was an informative and engaging program that provided participants with a deeper understanding of organizational behavior and its scope. The program provided participants with valuable knowledge and skills for effective people management. Around 125 students of the department along with 8 faculty members attended the webinar.
