The Valedictory Function of the Department of French was held on 26.02.2026. With great enthusiasm and elegance. The event marked the successful completion of the academic year and bid farewell to the outgoing batch of students.
The programme commenced at 2 PM in the III BA Classroom. At first, the lamp lighted as symbolising knowledge and wisdom. Ms Sabeena Bhaskar, HOD, welcomed the gathering. She highlighted the achievements of students in academics, culturals, and language proficiency. Faculty members appreciated the dedication and active participation of the graduating students throughout their course.
The Chief Guest, Major, Dr Seleena K.V, Associate Officer and Senior Wing Army, addressed the audience and emphasised the importance of multilingualism and global opportunities available for French language learners. The speech inspired students to pursue higher studies and careers in translation, teaching, international relations, and tourism.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by refreshments and informal interactions.
