Students from St. Joseph EMHSS Thrikkara leveraged the facilities offered by the Teresian Instrumentation and Consultancy Centre as part of their state-level research project, culminating in an impressive sixth-place achievement. The project focused on the production of a bio fertilizer, and to assess its efficiency, the students conducted a comprehensive analysis of microbial diversity in soil samples.
The procedures involved in the project included serial dilution and bacterial colony counting, both of which were meticulously carried out at the Teresian Instrumentation and Consultancy Centre (TICC). The utilization of basic microbiology equipment and a digital colony counter at TICC ensured precision and reliability in the experimental processes.
