The TROP ACTIVITY of academic year 2020 21 came into action under the able guidance ofDR.NirmalaPadmanabhan . As the College is a Paticipating Institute (PI) in the MHRD’s Unnat Bharat Abhiyan(UBA) , extension activities were done in the five Panchayats allotted to the College which are – Mulavukad ,Cheranelloor, Njarackal, Kuzipally and Kunnakara .

Bharathanatyam department was grouped for the activity in the KuzipallyPanchayat.DR.Beena D was in the charge of the TROP ACTIVITY with the theme of Artisans ,Industries and Livelihood. The first online meeting was held on18 th June 2020 to discuss about activities that are planned for all thePanchayats. The second meeting was held on 3rd July 2020 to discuss about the progress of the activity of each department. Our third year student MeenuSabu was the student in charge of the TROP.
The students of the third year were given an outline on the topic ‘Fundmentals of dance ‘ showing the basic exercises and adavus of dance ,which was choreographed by the students themselves ,including a semi classical piece done by ParvathyUnni , video was made and uploaded in the Youtube channel of the College on Nov. 16th 2020, and the link was sent to St. John’s L.P school , St.Gregory U.P School and many other children of the KuzipallyPanchayat. The video waswell appreciated by the Head mistress and parents of the schools.Ms.Nithya Ashok of 3rd year bharthanatyam made another video on the title “An on the instruments of Indian classical music “ which was uploaded on the College Youtube channel and was sent to the schools of the KuzipallyPanchayat.
According to the direction given to the TROP members by the officials of the Panchayat,a motivational video on the ‘Anti Drugs ‘ is on work by the 2nd year students of the Bharathanatyam department.
