The children taking part in the Cultural Programs were practicing and they helped them with designing their tableau and skit. The children had also prepared a dance and they performed it for the guests. The children had a fun time with the students as well and they were kept engaged productively. They were also very eager and happy to get an audience to listen to their stories. It was a day to cherish for both parties.

X MAS CELEBRATION AT SAMRAKSHANA

As a part of the TROP activity of the Department of Zoology, on 15th of December, 2015 the third year students of the department celebrated Christmas with the lovely angels of Reena Memorial Samrakshana School. The students went to the school with lot of preparations including dance, songs and various fun games for the children. There were a total of 39 students. Since this happen every year the students were eagerly waiting for the celebrations. The program started off with a humble prayer evoking the blessings of the Lord. Our students spent quality time with the children, talking to them and interacting with them to ensure that they have a good time.
The children were made to sing songs and dance to the rhythm along with our students. The more energetic of the kids were seen dancing with the students to the beats. The students then sang a Christmas Carol for the children which they thoroughly enjoyed. This was followed by a dance performance by some of the children of the school which received deafening applause from the audience.
One of the college students had dressed up as Santa who peeked in to give a surprise visit to the children. They were happy beyond words to see Santa and receive small gifts. Santa also gave them a Christmas message and danced with them to jingle bells. All the students danced enthusiastically and waved their hands to the rhythm. Christmas is never complete without cake. We had bought cake for the children and it was cut by the Principal of Reena Memorial Samrakshana School after which it was distributed to all the staff and students. The cake cutting was followed by fun games for the kids. The programs concluded after the game session. The teachers and children thanked our students for spending the day with them. The experience of having celebrated a Christmas at Samrakshana School is one that each of our students will hold close to their hearts. It was a truly enriching and learning experience for them.
