The Departments of Community College and Home Science along with Red Cross of St.Teresa’s College jointly organized a Thyroid disease awareness session and a free thyroid testing camp by associating with Silverline Hospital, Kadavanthra; DDRC SRL, and Macleods Pharma on 11th October 2019. The screening program was arranged for the Science block students in the morning and Arts block students in the afternoon. The program achieved its success through the active participation of students in the camp. 200 students gave their blood sample for testing. Four personnel’s from the DDRC SRL Diagnostics collected the blood samples. Staff and students of St.Teresa’s Community College helped the team.

An awareness session on Thyroid problem led by Dr. Tom Babu (Endocrinologist, Silverline Hospital, Kadavanthra) was arranged in the Arts Auditorium in afternoon . The sessions focused on common Thyroid diseases and its management. It was an informative and beneficial session and program.
