As part of TROP activities, Ms. Shahina .M. Sakeer, student of II M.T.T.M (Department of French, conducted a case study, ‘A comparative study of Cherai and Kuzhupilly to promote Kuzhupilly as an ecotourism destination in Ernakulam’ in December 2020.  The chief aim of the study is to help promote Kuzhupilly panchayat as an ecotourism destination. The study focused on identifying the practices adopted in Cherai, to seek to implement the same in Kuzhupilly. Kuzhupilly lacks facilities, in comparison, and is a lesser-known destination. The study helped in identifying the measures to be taken to popularise Kuzhupilly as an ecotourism destination where we could implement tourism activities, as well as to bring awareness to people about the Beach Beautification project adopted by DTPC and to spark more inter-local interaction.
