The Department of Psychology conducted a TROP Orientation session on 23rd June 2025 for first-year undergraduate students led by alumni, Ms. Aaliya Tariq. The aim of the session was to introduce students to Teresian Rural Outreach Programme (TROP) and emphasize the importance of social responsibility as a core aspect of their academic and professional development. During the session, Ms. Tariq highlighted how community engagement is an essential part of psychology education. She explained how outreach programmes allow students to apply psychological concepts in real-life settings, build empathy, develop interpersonal skills, and understand diverse social realities. The session included examples of previous TROP initiatives and gave students clarity on how they could contribute meaningfully to society through structured outreach activities during their course of study.
