The Department of Economics and Centre for Research and Department of Commerce (regular) jointly organised a seminar on financial literacy and a career counselling programme on 8th September 2023in the college seminar hall at 10  AM. The session begins with a prayer. Ms. Sanra Varghese delivered the welcome address. C A Saleem A introduced ICAI to students which is a statutory body established for the regulation of the Chartered Accountancy Profession in India—afterwards CA. Krishna K Kamath briefly explained about the C A course. Then the session was taken over by CA Tony Varghese and he explained the professional opportunities of CA. The core portion of the session was taken by CA Deepa  Varghese took a seminar on financial literacy. She mainly covered areas on Financial literacy, budgeting, investing, borrowing, taxation etc. Later the session was open for queries. Ms Jane Celine proposed a vote of thanks. Around 115 students and faculty members of the Department of Economics and Department of Commerce (regular) participated in the session.
