The department of chemistry and centre for research, along with the department of physics and centre for research, organized the program, Talk with the Scientist – “Innovation: Lab to MarketPlace”.

The lecture was handled by Prof.Suresh C Pillai, Director, Health and Biomedical (HEAL) Centre  & Head of nanotechnology and Bio Engineering Research group, Atlantic Technological University, ATU Sligo, Ireland.

The program was attended by the III UG, II PG students of Chemistry and physics departments,  St Teresas College. The speaker’s sparkling words ignited the students’ interest in the field of innovation and how their research can lead to products which may help the community. The presentation language was so simple and vivid that students could easily follow it and gain an understanding of how different research fronts work. The session was very interactive. Students gained deep understanding of how patents work and how their research work can lead to product development and further to market thus serve community.
