Our group secured the second prize in the “Stat Insight 2023” competition, hosted by the Department of Economics and Statistics, Ernakulam District, in celebration of Statistics Day. We participated in a short video contest with the theme “Importance and applications of Statistics.” Our entry featured a narrative involving two girls—one an Instagram influencer and the other demonstrating the calculation of Instagram engagement rates using statistical methods. This creative approach effectively highlighted the practical application of statistics in daily life. The submission deadline was August 7th.
