The Department of Psychology conducted a training session on Jacobson’s Progressive Muscle Relaxation (JPMR) on October 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM for 3rd-year B.Sc. Psychology students. The session was conducted by Mr. Alen B. Lal, a Consultant Psychologist, who introduced the concept and clinical applications of JPMR, a technique designed to reduce physical tension and alleviate stress by systematically relaxing various muscle groups. Students participated in hands-on exercises and learned about the theoretical foundations and practical benefits of JPMR. The interactive session promoted self-awareness and provided students with valuable stress management techniques applicable in both professional and personal context.
