The department organized a session on ‘Women and Constitutional Rights’ on 27 August 2024. The resource person, Adv. Karthika Sukumaran of the High Court of Kerala spoke of the rights provided by the Indian constitution to women, enumerating the different provisions, laws, and articles guaranteed by the law. Drawing attention to the discrimination, abuse, and partiality women encounter in different sectors, she urged the listeners to be aware of their laws and rights. An interactive session followed, in which several students posed questions regarding women’s rights, the challenges in implementation, and cyber bullying.
