A Seminar on Drug Awareness was held on July 3, 2023, at the Arts Auditorium from 9:30 am and featured Dr. Vivin Abraham and Mr. Vivek Vasudevan Nair as speakers. The students of the II and III UG, and the II PG classes attended the seminar.

Dr. Vivin Abraham delivered the keynote address discussing the various aspects of drug abuse, particularly its impact on children, highlighting why children turn to drugs and the role played by parents. He shed light on the magnitude of drug abuse in India and its effects on overall well-being.

Dr. Vivin discussed the warning signs of addiction in children and adolescents, the underlying causes of addiction, and various treatment approaches. He emphasised the importance of prevention and parental action in combating drug abuse. An interactive question and answer (Q&A) session followed Mr. Vivek’s presentation.
