A seminar on  ‘Careers in Adventure Tourism and Mountaineering’ was presided by the Department of French and Evergreen Tourism Club of our college on 27th, July. Which has thrown light on new career opportunities in the tourism sector. Today’s generation is realizing that traditional career options are not the only way to a safe and promising future. So they are opting for unconventional career opportunities in areas they are passionate about and these career opportunities will make a good impact in the changing world.

The Department of French and Evergreen Tourism Club invited T QUAD trainer and Adventure entrepreneur Mr. Preetham Menon for a seminar on Careers in Adventure Tourism and Mountaineering. Mr. Preetham Menon is an enthusiastic young mountaineer from Viyoor in Thrissur district of Kerala. He is an adventurer and mountaineer who conquered the 6015 meters high Cheema peak in Himachal Pradesh, covering 20,000 Ft in 8 days. He started pursuing his passion after marking an end to his 17 years long sales and marketing career.

Mr. Preethan shared his views and experience on how Adventure tourism, as the movement of people from one to another place outside their comfort zone for exploration or travel to remote areas, exotic and possibly hostile areas, is offering multiple career opportunities.

The event, in presence of the Department teachers and the Department with Evergreen Tourism Club students, took place in the audio-visual room in the College library.
Our guest speaker was accompanied by Mr. Raviraj Amarageetham, the founder of TQUAD.
