Le département de français held its 3rd “Séance Ciné” on 09.08.24 with the French movie “L’année du requin”.

Directed by Zoran and Ludovic Boukherma and released in 2022, the movie takes place in South West of France, by the sea side, where a murderous shark is terrorizing the local population. Inspired by the american movie “Jaws” (1975), we follow Maja, “gendarme” on the verge of retirement, in her last investigation. Between comedy and horror movie, we discover the nice beach of South of France.

This movie was a good opportunity for our students of UG to familiarize with the specific French accent from South-West France, as well as to discover a little bit more about the French sense of humor and of absurd.
