Sanskriti – the “State Wise Assignment” is an initiative jointly organized by the Indian Knowledge System of St Teresa’s College (Autonomous)  and the Department of Fashion Designing at St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam with the objective of showcasing and celebrating the rich cultural diversity of India. The project encourages students to explore the unique traditions, attire, art forms, and cultural practices of different Indian states, thereby fostering a deeper appreciation of the nation’s multicultural heritage.

As part of the assignment, students created thematic ambiences that reflected the geographical and cultural characteristics of their allotted states. They also presented traditional dance performances on stage and curated displays featuring state-specific costumes, cuisine, textiles, handicrafts, and traditional occupations. The states assigned for the project were Rajasthan, Manipur, Odisha, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh.
