The Department of Botany and Centre for Research, as a part of World Wetland Day, organized a talk on “Ramsar convention violation and Implications on wetlands” by C.M. Joy, Member of Court, Central University of Kerala, Retired Professor, SH College, Thevara and Former Registrar, KFRI on 02/02/2024, Friday, 2 P.M. at the Audiovisual Room, Arts Block. Botany students and teachers from St. Teresa’s College and Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam attended the session. Ms. Adhithya Madhavan K. S. of II M.Sc. Botany, STC welcomed the gathering. Dr. Liza Jacob, Head of the Department, Botany, STC introduced the guest. A wonderful discussion session was followed by the talk which clearly emphasized the significance of wetland conservation in our country. The session was concluded with a thanks by Ms. Sandra Johnson, I M.Sc. Botany, STC. The event was conducted by strictly following green protocol and was organized with the guidance of Staff Advisor, Dr. Aghil Soorya A.
