On 28th July 2020 Department of mathematics St. Teresa’s college conducted a live webinar “Introduction to stereographic projection”. The lecture was conducted in the memory of Prof. N Dharmambal. 133 students and faculty of the department attended the webinar. Ms. Linet Roselin Antony, Asst. professor in the department of Mathematics, Sacred Heart College, Chalakkudy was the resource speaker. The session mainly dealt with the definition, concept and uses of it in diverse fields of Mathematics. The session was conducted from 2p.m to 3.30

p.m on Google Meet.

Outcome of the activity:

The session was helpful in formulating and generalizing the concept of stereographic projection. It also helped in understanding its various properties and applications in many areas of Mathematics.
