Placement and Career Guidance Talk

“CHOOSE YOUR BETTER FUTURE”

The Department of Computer Applications in St. Teresa’s College organized a talk on Placement and Career Guidance – “Choose Your Better Future” for the students of BVoc Software Development on 4th March 2022 at 8:30 am.

The program with a total strength of 46  BVoc students was coordinated by Ms Raji S Pillai, HOD of the Department of Computer Applications, Ms Remya C.J, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications and Ms Sangeetha Chandran, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications. The session started with a Welcome address by Ms Remya C.J and was led by our speaker for the day Ms. Sangeetha Chandran.

The session was really informative and fruitful.The talk started with emphasizing on the importance of the programme and its scope in the modern IT field. The session also covered the various skills that students must develop in order to secure placements in many of the prestigious companies. The vast research fields and the best Universities in and out of the Country were mentioned in the session. Discussions regarding Patents and Startups were included in the talk which may motivate the innovators and entrepreneurs among the students. Towards the end of the session, every student held each other’s hand and took a vow to collectively contribute to 100% placement in the department.

The workshop concluded with vote of thanks by Kavya Nair of Second Year BVoc Software Development and the session came to its end by 10 am.
