Department of management studies organized an Orientation Programme for the newly admitted PGDM -Business Analytics students through a google meet on Oct 21. The major objective of the program was to make the students aware of the academic aspects of the course. The program started at 10:00 am with a prayer of the 2nd year student of PGDM-BA Ms.Minnu das. Head of the department, Dr. Daly Paulose delivered the welcome speech and it was really a warm welcome to the new batch of 2020. While delivering the speech on the session, Dr. Daly said to newly admitted students that _”Be organized and self-learner. Never lose the chance to intern in a firm also seek opportunities and avoid negative judgment. Be you without comparing other”_ .she also shared her life stories with the students and it was so inspiring. The second session was the introduction of all the faculties in the management of studies. Students got familiarised with their faculties. And the former student of the college shared her experiences. Then Haritha Nambiar a former student of PGDM-BA 2017-19 batch shared her experience of life at St Teresa and gave us tips to look out for in the future.

It was very informative and helpful.

The Chief Guest of the program was Jomon Joseph CEO of The Strategist Company.

The Speech was about the  Opportunities, Skills of the marketing field, Outline of Business analytics. The overview of the speech was Focus the profession you selected. He also shared from scratch and gave an overall presentation on what our role as a future Business Analytics in the Market is. He explained the idea in a clear and very understanding way and helped us clear our doubts. He used real-life examples, like the one with garlic-paste, Netflix, Matrimony, etc.. which was very funny and lead to a few laughs. Followed the Q & A section, Teachers and students participated in that area with some interesting questions. By 12.15 pm the program came to an end with Ms.Teresa’s Vote of thanks.

It was a wonderful experience, by this class we had a clear idea of what we were getting into.
